Nestled along the river, Ms. Marylou offers a unique hospitality experience on a converted barge, providing both charm and convenience in Lübeck’s heart. We spent two nights aboard, though a minor glitch cut our stay to one. The owner promptly arranged for our second night at a nearby hotel, showcasing the considerate service that defines the stay. Our cabin, though a bit snug, was functional with essential amenities such as free Wi-Fi, an electric kettle, and a comfortable heating system—perfect for late October. The breakfast was served in the ship's spacious great hall and was satisfactory, providing a pleasant start to our days. This is not a luxury cruise ship; rather, it embraces a unique setting. The proximity to town is a definite plus, but if you’re expecting a picturesque river view, you may be disappointed. For a moderate price, Ms. Marylou presents an interesting stay, offering a blend of historic ambiance with the practicality needed for a traveler.
